A visit to the Kopitiam for breakfast made me sat there thinking as I consumed my breakfast with a leftover plate next to me. a quick glance around saw a few empty tables with some leftover plates on them. At this, some of the other diners walked around and one of them finally settled down onto one of these. I can see his face visibly dissatisfied with the leftovers in front of him as he had his meal. He consumed his meal with a distasteful frown.
Finishing up on my meal, I picked up the tray and what was left in it and headed to the tray return counter. As I passed it on to the elderly attendant, she took it kindly from me and gave a smile and a nod of affirmation. Looking back at the table where I sat and the others around, I believe that each of us can make a difference with just a simple act of returning the tray. What's more, you can make the dining experience for the next person an enjoyable one.
